back of the cooktop

There may be a cabinet or a room wall

of any height at the rear and on one

side (right or left) of the cooktop (see

illustrations).

a 50 mm minimum distance between

the back of the countertop cut-out

and the rear edge of the countertop.

b 50 mm minimum distance between

the right of the countertop cut-out

and the nearest piece of furniture

(e.g. a tall cupboard) or a wall.

c 50 mm minimum distance between

the left of the countertop cut-out

and the nearest piece of furniture

(e.g. a tall cupboard) or a wall.
